Hiya guys im knew to this but im hoping some one can help me. I recently bought a second hand bike BTM BT49QT-9 50cc, it is a Chinese import, i bought it as a none runner. Ive changed the carb, all the pipes, starter motro, petrol tank, replaced the standard box air filter with and open air, ive taken the restrictor washer out and replaced the original 4g rollers with 6g, ive bought a unrestricted cdi unit, ive also rejetted the main jet to a 90. But this is my problem. My bike will still top out at 40mph (when it gets there), i cant get it to go any faster. Also my bike doesnt seem to want to idle, it will be ok for about 30secs then it'll cut out, which causes a problems at traffic lights and traffic. Also it seems to have a problem below 10Mph, i cant creep on the bike, itll just stop.

It is a 4 stroke 50cc, you won't see much past 35/40mph. With the stalling, do you have the choke mechanism on the carb?

Check its not sticking. ____________________ Current ride: Suzuki GSXR1000 L0 - Suzuki SV650 track bike - Yamaha Majesty YP250 Rogerborg wrote: Whole life care for a VTR full of quadraspazzed Darrryls and Shoniq'uas cost mad dollah. Ok thank you, any I dears of the best rollers to use please. I'm not too fussed about the top speed now, I don't really need more then 30mph where I live lol so I may as well leave it as it is.

What I'm looking for now is the best roller to pick up straight away on acceration, let's say 'roll between 2-5mph with out my revs too high. Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium Torrent more. I work nights and it would be good if when I came home I didn't wake the neighbours lol it would also be good in slow moving traffic, I'm currently walking the ped with slow moving traffic lol I have 6x 4g and 6x 6g spare to play with. There is no exact answer to what rollers you need for the best results as nobody has done exactly the same mods as you only rule we used was lighter +quicker to top end but less top end and heavier was better top end but slower to get to it hence the mix and match idea you just need to keep playing untill you get it the way you want ____________________ gilera runner vxr200 (chavped) if its spelt wrong its my fat fingers and daft auto correct on my tablet You must be logged in to rate posts shishkabob This post is not being displayed. Ive looked all over the web and cant seem to find what the maximum main jet size my bt49qt-9 will take, it has a 75mm at the moment and i was going to drill it out to a 150mm but im unsure if that'll be too high and render the bike unusable. Any feed back on this would be much appropriated, thank you You must be logged in to rate posts Paddy. This post is not being displayed. You don't have the option to increase anything else on the 4 stroke version, what you see if what you get with that. If it is too slow, sell it and buy an RS50. ____________________ Current ride: Suzuki GSXR1000 L0 - Suzuki SV650 track bike - Yamaha Majesty YP250 Rogerborg wrote: Whole life care for a VTR full of quadraspazzed Darrryls and Shoniq'uas cost mad dollah. The rollers do not determine the top speed. They work with the contrast spring in the rear pully.

If you go too light on the rollers, it wont use the full pulley travel as the weight of the rollers is unable to overcome the strength of the contrast spring. If you go too heavy, which it sounds like you have in this case, it will gear up too fast, meaning that the variator will start its movement before the clutch engages.
