OK bro, try this. Grab your win9x CD, or whatever OS your using. Put that sucker in and search for a file called 'IPAC_ON.INF'. Once you find that file drag into your C:, or wherever you wana put it. Right click on that sucker and click 'install'. Reboot then try to host.
What OS do you have? You trying to play LAN? Mplayer game? You have DSL hooked directly to your PC, no routers no hubs?
For the people that are connecting, does it just sit on 'connecting' and never connect? You have a firewall up? What one do you have it set to?

The reason it works is that the adapter (NIC) itself is not needed in the properties list after install. His vpn communicates with the network then back to the nic.
The reason why he cant host is because other peoples computers are getting 'confused' as to which is his real ip (the vpn or the NIC) thus it just hangs. This happens in most ip based games with many dsl services. Hope this help.

I tried to delete that adapter but after reboot windows found it again and reinstalled. I tried to delete all three on separate occasions but the same end result occured.
Still stuck in limbo. Autodesk Backburner 2008.1.1 Download. I have no trouble joining others games and i never lag. I have all the upgrades and patches currently available. I also tried the ipac_on.inf file too but could not find it on my cd.

I think the way to check if you do is go to ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS, then go to WINDOWS SETUP/INTERNET TOOLS. Double click on Internet Tools.
